Ravelympics 2008 and Blogiversary

The torch has been lit

and I've started my project for the "Sock Put" event in Ravelympics 2008. I cast on for Cedar Creek Socks in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock, Chapman Springs, during the 2008 Olympics opening ceremonies. The goal is to complete my project by the closing ceremonies.

I'm away, visiting family in Park City, Utah. I thought I'd have lots of knitting time, but we've been so busy I haven't accomplished much, even though I'm squeezing in a bit of knitting wherever I can.

In the spirit of the Olympics, and to celebrate my one year blogiversary I'm having a contest. Click on over to my shop and have a look around. Then, leave me a comment here with the name of your favorite colorway. It can be one in my current inventory, or one from the list of sold items. The deadline will be Sunday August 17. Three winners will be chosen at random to receive a nice skein of sock yarn from my personal stash. The gold, silver, and bronze medal winners will be announced the following Monday. Good luck!!

Oh I love the bobsled, when I was in Calgary I sat in the one at Olympic park there.
All your yarns look yummy and I intend to enhance my stash very shortly. If I had to pick only one, it would have to be fortuna! I love a good green yarn.

Love your photos, definitely made me laugh. Just got back from "next door" in Idaho, God's country. Hope you had a wonderful time.

Colors? Loved Lipstick and Lilacs and Verdant. Do I have to pick just one?

Looks like fun!! I know you will get your gold medal socks done. :) I love all of your colors, they are so pretty, but I think Lilac is just scrumptious.

Your colors are BEAUTIFUL!!! My final vote is for Clarks Pond. I changed my mind several times. Too hard to pick only one!

Looking forward to your next blog.

oops! The color is Clark's Pool (not Clarks Pond.) That's what happens when I've used up my day's allotment of brain cells before I get to my computer. (Hope I'm not disqualified!!)

I found your site via one of the ads on Ravelry and went on to look at your blog today. Apparently I've been here before! But it was some time ago. I love your yarns. I've recently become interested in dyeing myself, and thus go looking at other people's yarns. Yours are beautiful. I love several of them, but I think my favorite is "Fortuna". I love foresty colors and the description is very inspirational. It'd be nice to win one of those pretty skeins!!!
